Rotary Club of Columbia Falls donates rifle, funds

The Rotary Club of Columbia Falls had its annual Rotary rifle raffle. This fundraiser helps the club support local organizations like the Boys and Girls Club, the Columbia Falls Food Bank and Montana Wounded Warriors.

This year another service organization from the valley won and decided to take cash to help with one of their projects instead of claiming the rifle. The Rotary Club of Columbia Falls decided that instead of raffling the gun again they would make a local Wounded Warrior’s Christmas very special.

Broc O’Hara was the lucky wounded Montana veteran to recieve the Montana Rifle Company 30.06 with a Vortex scope donated by Sportsman and Ski House.

The Rotary Club of Columbia Falls also made a $ 2,500 donation to Montana Wounded Warriors with the proceeds from the raffle. Montana Wounded Warriors is based in the Flathead Valley and takes wounded Montana veterans of Iraq and Afghanistan on all expense paid hunting and fishing trips here in Montana.
