On Memorial Day weekend, the Havre Eagle Riders held a poker run for the third year in a row to raise funds for Montana Wounded Warriors. Board member Neil Baumann and his wife, as well as wounded vet, Jason Marheine from Belgrade, were able to join them this year. Over 90 motorcycle riders participated in what was a very successful event. The weather cooperated as we traveled from Havre, to Big Sandy, Fort Benton, Chester, Inverness, Hingham and Fresno, then back to Havre. We were welcomed at each stop, and multiple door prizes were awarded to the majority of participants. We had a lot of laughs and met some great people along the way. That evening we enjoyed dinner at the Havre Eagles Club. After dinner we moved out onto the street and enjoyed live music by the Milk River Band and dancing. A total of over $8000.00 was raised to help our wounded veterans. We cannot thank Brian Carpenter, Hosanna Hutchins, Lynette (Mama), and the rest of the Havre Eagle Riders 166 enough for the wonderful weekend in Havre.
