The opening weekend of rifle season started earlier than expected. We had two veterans (Jonathan Hoth and Kyle Sukhbir) with antelope tags. Trophies Plus Outfitters put together a couple of combo hunts and we were off and running. After our vets checked their zeroes from traveling halfway across the state, we were on the hunt. Both vets tagged out that day on antelope. The other four wounded warriors (Ed Cuny, Mac Vosbeck, Chad Wigley and Jessica Kersh) showed up the following day for opening day of deer season 2017! Opening day we struck out and without fail had deer coming in that morning. We had 5 out of 6 warriors tag out on deer and we were also 2 for 2 on antelope. With that it was one of our veteran’s first deer and a damn fine muley, and one of our vets biggest whitetail ever. What can I say – Mike, Esther and their entire crew really outdid themselves this year. It has truly been an honor being able to lead this hunt for the last couple of years
