Mountain Goat Hunt 2025
“I want to thank Brandon Oliver for donating his tag and also the guy that helped me get the mountain goat. Really great guy glad I got to hunt with him and become friends in the process. That hunt was everything I hoped it would be and more! Being able to successfully harvest a mountain goat has been a dream of mine for a long time. I’m extremely grateful that I was the recipient of the Purple Heart Donation Tag and also grateful that Montana Wounded Warriors helped me with the hunt. You guys have helped me with so many hunts that I never thought I’d physically be able to do. I’d really like to thank all of you at Montana Wounded Warriors for everything you do to make these hunts (dreams) come true! Here are some more pictures of the hunt. I never thought I’d be hunting in the clouds. It’s definitely a hunt I’ll never forget!”

Over the past 5 years Montana Wounded Warriors has worked to distribute the Purple Heart Donation Tag. This is an opportunity for individuals who draw special permits and hunting licenses to donate those tags to veterans who have received a Purple Heart and at least a 70% disability rating from the VA. Each year MTWW submits applications from the Purple Heart Veterans we work with who meet these requirements. Over the years we have been able to receive multiple bighorn sheep, moose, bull elk and multiple mountain goat tags for our veterans from Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks.
